Containers to use with your Infrawave® Oven

• The inside dimensions of this Oven are 10-5/16" x 11" x 6". This size allows for many different types of baking containers. Baking dishes or pans should be no larger than 9 x 9 inches and no higher than 4 ½ inches to allow for air around the baking utensil. Best size containers to use are:
o 8” and 9” square and round pans or dishes
o 7 “x 9” glass or metal
o 9” glass pie plate
o 8 ½” x 4 ½” x 2 ½” loaf pan
• Metal, ovenproof glass without lids or ceramic bakeware may be used in your Oven. Be aware, some of these containers may increase the cooking time by several minutes. Follow manufacturer’s instructions. Be sure the edge of the container and the food being cooked is at least 1" (2.54 cm) away from upper heating elements.
• Non-stick metal pans should be light in color and not the black non-stick surface.
• Since infrared waves can go through glass , cooking performance may be improved by using a clear oven-safe, glass baking dish.
• If covering is needed during cooking, use aluminum foil. Make sure the foil edges are tucked against the sides of the baking dish or pan.

AVOID THE FOLLOWING WHEN USING THE OVEN:
1. Silicone bakeware
2. Containers larger than those recommended.
3. Containers with warnings against use in range-type or toaster ovens.
4. Plastic wrapping such as oven roasting bags or paperboard covers
5. Covers other than foil.
6. Air-tight packages such as sealed pouches or cans.

Some frozen foods and refrigerated foods are packaged in paper or plastic containers suitable for microwave or conventional ovens.

Do not use paper or plastic containers in the Infrawave® Oven. Simply transfer food to an Infrawave® Oven compatible container. If there are any questions regarding the use of a specific container, contact the food manufacturer.

A few notes on your Infrawave® Speed Cooking Countertop Oven:

• During cooking, the interior lights will cycle on and off. This is because the Infrawave® Oven doesn’t cook by a specific temperature. It cooks by cycling its heater lights on and off.
• A beep will sound when pressing most control panel buttons.
• Holding down the UP or DOWN arrows will change the selection more rapidly

PREPARING FOODS
To add a touch of color to meat and fish preparations, use seasonings such as chopped parsley or herbs; they remain green and do not burn.

When preparing seasoned or breaded meat/fish/poultry, freeze individual pieces separately by placing on a tray and separating layers with waxed paper. Once frozen, the individual pieces can be transferred to a bag or container in desired portions.

Prepare your meals for the week in advance and place them in the freezer. When ready to use, simply cook them to perfection in your InfraWave® Speed Oven. Its infrared light technology works exceptionally well on cooking frozen foods. It also preserves the juices and the flavors of your meals, while searing the outside and giving it a crispy brown finish. When we say chef-quality results in minutes, we mean it!
